Aquatics technology, coaching systems and learning networks

Better tools for coaches, learners, families and aquatics leaders.

LAP.red is becoming a simple front door for Coach Mark Rauterkus's swim-tech work. The living articles now move to Heavy Or Not, where coaching, AI, communication systems, WAFSU, ISCA, UCANSwim, The Coaching Wizard and The Aquatic Directive can be developed with more focus.

The mission

Aquatics programs need practical systems. Coaches need clearer communication. Learners need reflection. Families need next steps. Communities need visible progress.

LAP.red was built as a working notebook and platform test bed for those needs. The next version is lighter. This site points to the best places to follow the work, invite the speakers, join office hours and participate in the mission.

The work now has four lanes

The Coaching Wizard

AI-assisted reflection for coaches, youth, mentors and community programs. The goal is to help learners name what they notice and help coaches listen with more structure.

Coach communication systems

Forms, calendars, pipelines, signed documents, reminders, quick replies, office hours and workflows for swim teams, clinics, lessons and aquatics programs.

Aquatics learning network

ISCA, WAFSU, UCANSwim, Heavy Or Not, badges, certificates, seminars and conference talks connected into a stronger learning ecosystem.

Heavy Or Not is the living publication.

The valuable LAP.red essays are being tightened, reorganized and moved into Heavy Or Not. Dates are removed. Repeated ideas are merged. The strongest material becomes useful articles for coaches, aquatics leaders and partners.

Subscribe, share the publication with a coach or aquatics friend, and bring the ideas to your program.

Upcoming public rooms

The ideas are moving from working notes into conference rooms, office hours, podcasts, PDFs and field tests.
